WHAT ARE THEY?

Quantifiers indicate the quantity of a name. They are answers to the question "How many?"

HOW ARE THEY CLASSIFIED?

◇ The degree quantifiers are: somewhat, quite, a lot, very, little, too much, more, less.

◇ Everything, both, each, some, none, someone, nobody, something, nothing, several, any, how much, how much, much, much, little, enough, too much, more, less.

HOW ARE THEY USED?

It is used especially in negative and interrogative sentences with the countable name in the plural. You can use "many" in affirmative sentences, although it is not very common. Normally, we use other quantifiers like "a lot".

EXAMPLES:

● How many pencils are there?

● There are no pencils.

● How much money do you have?

Los cuantificadores indican la cantidad de un nombre. Son repuestas a la pregunta “¿Cuántos?”.

¿CÓMO SE CLASIFICAN?

◇Los cuantificadores de grado son: algo, bastante, mucho, muy, poco, demasiado, más, menos.

◇Todo, ambos, cada, alguno, ninguno, alguien, nadie, algo, nada, varios, cualquiera, cuánto, cuanto, tanto, mucha, poco, bastante, demasiado, más, menos.

¿CÓMO SE UTILIZAN?

Es utilizado sobre todo en frases negativas e interrogativas con el nombre contable en plural. Se puede usar “many” en frases afirmativas, aunque no es muy común. Normalmente, usamos otros cuantificadores como “a lot.”
